ICCI Awards Brand Excellence Award to Turkish Airline May 02, 2013

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) awarded a Brand Excellence Award to Turkish Airline to recognize its important contribution in promoting bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkey. 
 
Mr.Zafar Bakhtawari, President ICCI represented this award to Mr.Alp Yavuzeser, General Manager, Turkish Airlines in Pakistan.

H.E.Mr.Dashgin Sharirov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan, H.E.Mr. Sherali A Gononov, Ambassador of Tajikistan, Mr.Mustafa Evran, Ambassador, TRNC Turkey Cyprus, Mr.Sulyeman Suha Zulfiqar, First secretary Deputy Head of Mission,  Dr.Ismatulla Fayzullaev, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Uzbekistan, Mr. Kuban Tokturbaez, Charge D’Affairs, Embassy of Kyrgyz Republic in Pakistan and representative of various airlines operation inside Pakistan were also present on the occasion.  
 
Mr.Zafar Bakhtawari, President ICCI said that Turkey is a very close friend of Pakistan and our brotherly Islamic country, therefore, PIA and Turkish Airline should develop close collaboration and contribute significantly in promoting people-to-people relations between Pakistan and Turkey and for enhancing bilateral trade between our brotherly countries.
 
ICCI President said that the status of airline of a country reflects the level of economic strength of a country and a well-performing airline makes significant contribution to economic development of the country. He also expressed hope that Turkish Airline would further enhance the frequency of its flights to Pakistan and cover more cities of our country for the facilitation of air travelers.
 
He urged the General Manager of Turkish Airline to consider connecting Istanbul-Baku-Islamabad through at least two of its flights in a week which would help businessmen in visiting each other’s country and exploring new areas of commercial linkages. Mr.Bakhtawari was of the view that direct air-link between Pakistan and ECO countries could also be established through Turkish Airline which would ultimately further improve bilateral relation between Eco countries sand Pakistan.
 
Mr.Alp Yavuzeser, General Manager, Turkish Airlines said that Turkish Airline is today a four star airline with a fleet of 218aircrafts flying to 222 cities around the world as well as it has received several ‘Passenger Choice Award” from the consumer ranking group and has been chosen as the winner of Best Airline Europe in 2011.
 
He said that Turkish Airline has been more than 30years in Pakistan and our activities and business in Pakistan are highly appreciated by the Pakistani people as this brings us closer and enables us to build a stronger customer base in Pakistan. Mr.Alp Yavuzeser said that Turkish Airline is also committed to conduct various events and exhibitions to introduce Pakistani culture to the different nations of the world.
 
Speaking on the occasion, H.E.Mr.Dashgin Sharirov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan Pakistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan are three Muslim brother countries, having profound love and regard for each other. He said that Azerbaijan is keen to establish direct air-link between Islamabad and Baku which would bring people of the two countries closer to each other, therefore, cooperation from Turkish Airline is required in this regard which would open new avenues of cooperation among Turkey, Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
