CDA asked to focus on development of markets to facilitate business activities May 20, 2015
Meeting at ICCI
 
Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized oath taking ceremony of newly elected officer bearers of Traders Welfare Association, Al-Fateh Market, G-9/3, Islamabad. As per election results, Nisar Ahmed Mirza was declared as President, Shaukat Nawaz Senior Vice President, Khurram Saeed & Munir Jadoon Vice Presidents, Muhammad Naeem Secretary General, Pervez Bajwa Joint Secretary and Kaleem Hussain Shah as Secretary Information. Abdul Rauf Alam, ICCI Group Leader administered oath to the newly elected office bearers.
 
Speaking at the occasion, Muzzamil Hussan Sabri, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that condition of roads, footh paths, streetlights in Al-Fatah Market, G-9/3, Islamabad was in pathetic condition while the business center was without water filtration plant and toilet facility. He urged upon the CDA to focus on better development of markets including Al-Fatah market that will help in smooth promotion of business activities. He congratulated the newly elected officer bearers of Traders Welfare Association, Al-Fateh Market, G-9/3, Islamabad and assured them that ICCI would play its role for resolving their issues.
 
Mr. Abdul Rauf Alam, Group Leader ICCI said traders should stand united as they could better protect their business interests and resolve issues by developing strong unity in their ranks. He said business community was not in favor of any conflict with the government and it wanted to do business in a peaceful environment. He said soon a meeting would be held with Prime Minister to resolve the issue of early markets closure in Islamabad. He was hopeful that a win-win solution of this matter would be found out. He congratulated newly elected team and hoped that Nisar Ahmed Mirza being a hardworking leader would play his pivotal role to resolve the issues of Al-Fateh Market. He assured that ICCI would fully cooperate with trade unions to address their issues with joint efforts.
 
Nisar Ahamed Mirza, newly elected President of Traders Welfare Association, Al-Fateh Market, G-9/3, Islamabad highlighted various issues being faced by his market. He said the roads, footpaths and streetlights in Al-Fateh Market were in poor condition. He said water filtration plant and toilets were also not available in the market and stressed that ICCI should take up these issues with CDA for early redress.  He assured that TWA Al-Fatah Market would fully cooperate with ICCI in its efforts aimed at promoting the interests of business community. He also thanked ICCI for organizing their oath taking ceremony manner and assured that he would use his capabilities for the development of his market.
