Newly elected office bearers of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry take over the charge December 01, 2011
Meeting at ICCI
After being elected unopposed, renowned industrialist Mian Shaukat Masud has taken over the charge as the President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry from the outgoing President ICCI Muhammad Ijaz Abbasi while Mr. Shaban Khalid and Mr. Muhammad Ishtiaq Qureshi have taken over the charge of ICCI Vice President-I and Vice President-2 respectively.

Mian Shaukat Masud hails from a well established industrialist family. He is the Chief Executive of Fazal Industries Private Limited. Mian Shaukat Masud already served as ICCI President in 1991 and has been elected unopposed as President ICCI for the second term. He is the life member of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as member of Rotary International Club, Islamabad and Rotary Club of Islamabad Metropolitan. He was President of Rotary Club of Pakistan in 1995-96. He also remained Director of Fazal Group of Companies, Fazal Vegetable Ghee Mills and Fazal Cloth Mills (Pvt) Limited. He has made business tours of many countries including USA, UK, Italy, Swizerland, Austrialia and India.

Mr. Shaban Khalid belongs to an industrialist family from Islamabad. He finished his Bachelors in Business Administration from Pepperdine University, California (USA) and returned to join his family business of steel at Ittehad Steel, Islamabad at the age of 21 as Director Sales and Marketing. At Ittehad Steel he brought about changes to bring the systems at the organization at par with any world-class organization. At the age of 26 he was awarded the dealership for the world renowned auto brand of Mitsubishi Motors, Japan for Islamabad. He was the youngest CEO of any 3S auto dealership in Pakistan.

Mr. Shaban Khalid had the honor to represent Pakistan at the World Summit of Children held at San Mateo in 1995, where a draft proposal was finalized to be presented at the United Nations.  Furthermore he has also been active with the Youth Initiative jointly undertaken by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, CIPE and Ministry of Youth Affairs as well as organized the Youth Conference 2008, with a wide spectrum of representation from across Pakistan, to finalize a draft proposal for the Youth Policy of Pakistan. 

Muhammad Ishtiaq Qureshi is the owner of Trans Arabian Travels, an overseas employment promoter which started its business in 1973. He served as Joint Secretary of All Pakistan Passengers Sales Agents Association while President of Capital Lines Club Islamabad. He also served as Zonal Senior Vice President of FPCCI diplomats and foreign office Standing Committee, Zonal SVP of Export of Manpower & Overseas Pakistan, President of a welfare organization and Chairman of ICCI standing committee on Travel & Tourism.
