CDA will resolve business community's issues on priority basis-Farkhand Iqbal/ CDA to form Reconciliation Committee for resolving disputes-Abdul Rauf/Tariq Sadiq January 03, 2012

A delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) led by Abdul Rauf Alam, Chairman, CDA Sub-Committee and former President of ICCI visited Chairman, Capital Development Authority (CDA), Engr. Farkhand Iqbal. Mr.Munawar Mughal, Mr.Tariq Sadiq, Mr.Khalid Javaid, Mian Akram Farid, Mr.Khalid Malik, Mr.Shahid Zaman Shinwari, Mr. Khalid Mehmud Chaudary and other senior members of ICCI were also present on the occasion.

Adressing the meeting, Engr. Farkhand Iqbal said that CDA, in consultation with ICCI, would resolve business community problems to facilitate them in promotion of business activities as growth of business would ultimately make Islamabad a dynamic and vibrant city.

He said that building byelaws have become outdated and they would be updated in line with present day’s requirements. He assured CDA’s support to ICCI in constructing a Dispensary and a Community Centre. He also said that CDA would allocate a cricket ground to ICCI so that businessmen and traders could take part in healthy sports activities as well. He assured business community for taking their representatives on board in Citizen Club.

Abdul Rauf Alam, Chairman, CDA Sub-Committee and former President of ICCI said that there was a dire need of support from CDA to boost business activities and development projects should be done on priority basis. He said that a reconciliation committee would be helpful in resolving various disputes.

Mr.Tariq Sadiq said that there was also greater need of street lights and reconstruction of roads in the industrial area.

Mr.Munawar Mughal, Chairman Founder Group assured full cooperation of Islamabad Chamber and said that entire business community would support Chairman CDA.
