ICCI delegation returns after successful business trip May 15, 2012

A seven-member Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry  (ICCI) delegation headed by ICCI President Yassar Sakhi Butt returned after a 10-day visit to Turkey, Romania and Czech Republic that included a number of high profile business events.

During their stay in Turkey, ICCI delegation has successful meetings with Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, MUSIAD, PASIAD, TUSKON and DEIK. The delegates also visited Tuyap Fair Convention & Congress Center and Istanbul Fair Center (CNR Expo).

ICCI President said that Turkey and Pakistan have immense potential to further promote bilateral relations in all spheres. He said that the purpose of visit to Turkey was to find out more areas of mutual cooperation to improve trade and further strengthen bonds of friendship for exploiting potential investment opportunities.

Moreover, Business-to-Business meetings at Chamber of Commerce & Industry Bucharest in Romania, Chamber of Commerce & Industry Prahova and Lasi Chamber of Commerce & Industry after talks with Romanian business leaders and mayors of Lasi Chamber were the main features of ICCI delegation visit to Romania.

The ICCI team visited different factories in Romania and also attended a business dinner which was arranged by Pakistan's Ambassador, H.E.Mr. Rab Nawaz Khan. Yassar Sakhi Butt, President ICCI said that Romanian market offers huge potential for Pakistani products like pharmaceutical products, knit fabrics, plastics & plastic products, fish, dairy products, surgical instruments and handicrafts.

ICCI delegation has also fruitful meeting with Confederation of Industry in Czech Republic and Sport Expo in Prague. President ICCI said that Czech investment in energy, auto, food processing, minerals, chemicals and transportation sectors would earn rich dividends for the country.

During meetings at Pakistani missions in Turkey, Romania and Czech Republic, Yassar Sakhi Butt urged the commercial attaches to facilitate the business community of Pakistan by providing latest market intelligence reports so that exports of Pakistan could be enhanced to maximum level.

ICCI President said that the visit to Turkey, Romania and Czech Republic proved to be a valuable experience where delegates learned more about Pakistan’s important relationship with Turkey, Romania and Czech Republic. These countries have a huge potential for Pakistani businessmen and this visit would further strengthen understanding among the business leaders.
