A delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) led by its President, Mr. Yassar Sakhi Butt visited Chairman, Capital Development Authority (CDA), Engr. Farkhand Iqbal and congratulated him on his appointment. Munawar Mughal, Chairman Founder Group ICCI and Khalid Mehmud Chaudary have also accompanied the delegation.
Speaking on the occasion, Engr. Farkhand Iqbal, Chairman CDA said that business community was always cooperating with Capital Development Authority. He said that CDA was working on development projects despite of financial problems. He also said that CDA would collaborate with business community in making city more beautiful.
He said that CDA would start landscaping from Constitutional Avenue and would make the Capital more eye-catching. He said that CDA have plan to start CNG buses for public facilitation. He said that development projects for I-11, I-15 and I-16 would be started very soon.
Mr.Yassar Sakhi Butt, President ICCI said that there was a dire need of support from CDA to boost business activities and development projects should be done on priority basis. He said that there was also greater need of street lights and construction of roads in the industrial area. He proposed to form a reconciliation committee which would be helpful in resolving various disputes.
Mr.Munawar Mughal, Chairman Founder Group ICCI said that our markets have been operated under traditional mechanisms, which need to be developed on modern lines. He said that up gradation of markets and removing of all the encroachments should be the top priority of CDA. All future developmental projects should be executed in collaboration with the stakeholders particularly the traders, he emphasized.
