CDA prove itself as a true supporter of traders-Mahfooz Elahi/Islamabad markets would be develop on modern lines-Imtiaz Inayat Elahi

Mahfooz Elahi, President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) has visited the Farooqia market along with Imtiaz Inayat, Chairman CDA. 

Mahfooz Elahi has appreciated the visit of Imtiaz Inayat Elahi, Chairman CDA to Farooqia Market and said that markets have been operated under traditional mechanisms, which need to be developed on modern lines.

ICCI President said that up gradation of markets and removing of all the encroachments should be the top priority of CDA. All future developmental projects should be executed in collaboration with the stakeholders particularly the traders, he emphasized.

Speaking on the occasion, Imtiaz Inayat Elahi, Chairman CDA said that upgrading of the roads’ infrastructure, provision of basic facilities at public places, development of parking areas and improvements in the sewerage system of markets were being given top priority.

Khalid Chaudhary, President of Farooqia market and Former Vice President ICCI said that sewerage system had been destroyed because of Kalsum Plaza Underpass, but CDA has successful to resolve this matter despite of its financial constraints. He further said that Farooqia Park was considered to be the best park as number of children and women has used to visit it.
