A delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry led by its President Ahmed Hassan Moughal called on Amer Ali Ahmed in his office and congratulated him on being appointed as Chief Commissioner Islamabad. Rafat Farid Senior Vice President, Iftikhar Anwar Sethi Vice President ICCI, Zubair Ahmed Malik Chairman Founder, Muhammad Ejaz Abbasi, Muhammad Naveed Malik, Kalid Chaudhry, Ashfaq H. Chatha, Mirza Muhammad Ali, Tahir Abbasi, Muhammad Hussain, Raja Abdul Majeed and Nisar Ahmed Mirza were in the delegation.
Addressing the delegation, Amer Ali Ahmed, Chief Commissioner, Islamabad said that the business community was playing an important role in the development of the economy and assured that he would play role to resolve their key issues. He said that efforts would be made to improve law and order situation in markets, commercial centers and industrial areas in consultation with ICCI. He said preference would be given to involve private sector in the better development of city. He assured that all highlighted issues of the business community would be given due consideration for redress.
Speaking at the occasion, Ahmed Hassan Moughal, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry highlighted the key issues that needed close attention of the ICT Administration. He said that the interaction of Amer Ali Ahmed with business community as Deputy Commissioner ICT and Member (Admn) CDA had always been cooperative and hoped that he would extend similar kind of support as Chief Commissioner to facilitate the business community. He said that many organizations including revenue, labor and industrial departments were working under the control of Chief Commissioner and business community issues related to these departments should be resolved on priority.
He assured that the local business community would fully support the Chief Commissioner ICT in efforts aimed at establishing peaceful environment for businesses and the general public.
