Muhammad Ahmed Waheed, President, Islamabad Chamber of
Commerce & Industry (ICCI) congratulated the Pakistan’s Kabaddi team for
winning world cup for the country and said that the whole nation felt proud on
their wonderful achievement. He said this while addressing a luncheon ceremony
hosted by ICCI in honor of Pakistan’s Kabaddi Team. The Kabaddi team visited
ICCI led by Rana Sarwar Secretary General Pakistan Kabaddi Federation and Tahir
Waheed Head Coach of Pakistan Kabaddi team.

Muhammad Ahmed Waheed said that winning Kabaddi World Cup against arch
rival India has added more value to this great achievement. He assured that ICCI
would extend all possible cooperation to Kabaddi team so that it could achieve
more laurels for the country.

Rana Sarwar Secretary General Pakistan Kabaddi Federation and Tahir Waheed
Head Coach Pakistan Kabaddi team said that for the first time, Pakistan hosted
international Kabaddi tournament and won the world cup that was a great
honor. They said that retaining this title was a big challenge, but they reaffirmed
that Kabaddi team would try its best to achieve more such titles for the country
in future. They said that this victory has improved the image of Pakistan at
international level and added that they would try to organize next international
Kabaddi league in Islamabad to promote this sport in this region. They also
thanked ICCI for holding ceremony in honor of Pakistan Kabaddi team, which was
very encouraging for them.

Tahir Abbasi Senior Vice President and Saif ur Rehman Khan Vice President ICCI
felicitated Pakistan Kabaddi team for winning world cup for the nation. They said
that successful holding of Kabaddi world cup proved that Pakistan was now safe
country for sports, business and investment activities.

Rana Muhammad Sikandar Azam, President, Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce
and Industry congratulating Kabaddi team said that FCCI would soon organize an
international Kabaddi tournament in which kabaddi teams of Haryana and
Punjab would also participate.

Zareef Ahmed Khan, Convener, ICCI Sports Committee paid tribute to Pakistan
Kabaddi team for winning world cup and assured that business community
would fully cooperate in promoting kabaddi sport in the country. At the end,
prizes were distributed among the kabaddi players.
