A delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) led by its President, Mr.Zafar Bakhtawari visited the office of newly appointed Chief Commissioner of Islamabad, Mr.Jawad Paul for congratulating  him on his appointment as Chief Commissioner of Islamabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Jawad Paul lauded the role of Islamabad Business community which is playing a vital role in promoting the local economy as well as played very active role in hard times for the country as they were eagerly engaged in the relief activities of Earthquake (2005), Famine in Quetta (2000) and heavy Floods (2010).

He said that he would try to accelerate close cooperation and better collaboration between business community and the local administration in his new capacity as the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad. He said that with the cooperation of Traders Association, ICT local administration also have planed to install CCTV Cameras’ in the markets of F-6, F-7and F-10 sector to ensure tight security in the Federal Capital.

Chief Commissioner of Islamabad said that local administration would also enhance the network of social security thatwill provide better social security services to industrial workers of Islamabad.

Mr.Amir Ahmed Ali, Deputy Commissioner said that Islamabad administration would cooperative with traders and industrialists of Federal Capital in issuance of arm licenses. He further said that ICT administration would provide all possible help in establishinglocal bodies system in the Federal Capital.

Mr.Zafar Bakhtawari, President ICCI it is long standing demand of Islamabad Chamber to give representation of ICCI in the board of Directors of CDA that help in creating a bridge between the citizens and the civic agency to understand the rapidly increasing problems of the city .

ICCI President further said Islamabad Club is the renowned club of Federal Capital, therefore, ICCI representative must also be given representative in the board of management of Islamabad Club as private sector has been give due representation in all the institutions in all over the world.

Mr.Tariq Sadiq,Mr.Munawar Mughal,Ch.Muhammad Ali, Director Admisistration ICT, Mr.Mehmood Ahmed Waraich, Mr.Saeed Ahmed Bhatti, , Mr.Khalid Malik and Mr.Babar Chaudhry were also present on the occasion.
