The initiative is aimed at streamlining and digitalizing cross-border trade procedures in Pakistan, in line with global trade facilitation practices.
The session attracted an enthusiastic turnout, including traders, exporters, ICCI Executive Members, and Chamber representatives, both in-person and online, all keen to gain insights into the digital transformation of trade documentation.
In his opening remarks, PSW Deputy Manager Fasal Hussain outlined the core objectives and strategic benefits of the E-CO initiative. Domain Officer Muhammad Ahmad and Business Analyst Noman Ahmad shared detailed presentations, demonstrating how the E-CO module enables exporters to submit applications online, track real-time status updates, and communicate securely through the PSW portal — eliminating the need for physical visits to Chambers and reducing both time and cost.
The session featured a lively question-and-answer segment, where participants raised pertinent queries that were thoroughly addressed by the PSW team, increasing confidence in the system’s adoption.
The event concluded with a strong endorsement from attendees for adopting digital tools like the E-CO to make Pakistan’s trade ecosystem more transparent, efficient, and globally competitive.
Participants lauded ICCI’s proactive efforts to promote the ease of doing business and drive economic growth through such capacity-building programs, underscoring the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to modernizing trade facilitation.
