Economy of the country is in the fragile state that needs to be given a push to put on right track, thus government in close collaboration with the business community and experts from the private sector must form a “Economic Revival Group” to deliberate on the key issues to find out permanent solutions of the growing problems.
The president of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry Mahfooz Elahi said that economic revival plan and timely execution on vital factors, can bring Pakistan out of current economic crises, but it requires close coordination among the stakeholder organizations and strong political will to find a way forward.
He said that criticism on the policies is an easy course and not a solution of the problems. The government Think Tank, business community and Private Sector experts should be brought at one platform for a series of discussions and critical analysis of the situation to reach some collective conclusion and practical long and short term solutions of the problems.
The economy of the country cannot be revived in days or months, but with true and right approach, within a year or so, a momentum can be set to take off the economy, Elahii said.
The President was of the view that government through consultation process should announce a National Economic Revival Agenda that would help boost the trust and confidence of the local and foreign businessmen and also exports of the country would get a boost.
He said that justice for all should be top priority agenda of the government to streamline the things and everyone should be held accountable of its actions. The other problems like corruption, energy deficit and many others should be dealt seriously coming out of personal gains and interests.
Elahi said that Pakistan have full potential and resources to emerge as a strong economic nation. He emphasized that government should take measures to boost the morale of the nation and provide relief bringing it out of enormous problems.
He said that with public private nexus, solution of many problems can to found and we can save our next generations from deep troubles. Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry offers its support to the government in the consultative process for economic revival, he maintained.
