Highly appreciating the role of Islamabad Police, Mr.Mahfooz Elahi, President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry said that policemen has done a great job during the Eid days to ensure security for the general public.

He greatly lauded the efforts of Mr.Kaleem Imam, Inspector General of Police and his team for making an excellent contingency plan for the security of the public during the Eid. President ICCI paid a great tribute to the policemen, who performed their duties diligently while remaining on duty, as their leaves were cancelled for the security of the people of the Federal Capital. He said policemen deserve great appreciation, as whole nation was on leave, while they were on duty to protect lives of the people.

Mahfooz Elahi said that policemen round the clock were present at the check posts and along with providing security, also welcomed the people in a very nice way. He said that at some places on the motorway, policemen gave gifts to the commuters, which was an excellent gesture.

He also appreciating the role of Islamabad Police said that police under the dynamic guidance of Mr.Kaleem Imam, I.G. Police is focusing on community policing, which would not only help in creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence on police, but also provide a good networking and cooperation of the private sector with the police for better working and efficiency.

President said that general public must also extend cooperation to policemen at barriers, because these are installed for their security and policemen has to stand day and night to avoid any untoward incident in the Federal Capital.

He said that due to the excellent performance of police and best management plan, there has been a peaceful atmosphere during the Eid, which was a great success of Police. Mahfooz Elahi said that police should keep that spirit after Eid to ensure peace in the country.

Mahfooz Elahi said that Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry always feels pleasure in extending at sorts of support and cooperation to police and administration to maintain peace and security in the Federal Capital. He lauded that police also provided tremendous cooperation to the business community at the time of need.
