A delegation of Islamabad District Bar Association led by its President, Syed Javed Akbar Shah visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to discuss the matters of mutual interest.
Speaking on the occasion, Yassar Sakhi Butt, President ICCI appreciated the efforts of Islamabad Bar Association in making useful suggestions and proposals on different aspects of proposed laws, advocating the rule of law and administration of justice in the country and contributing significantly in maintaining a healthy relationship between the Bench and the Bar.
ICCI President was of the view that businessmen were passing through a tough time due to multiple factors like acute energy crisis, law and order problems, high cost of doing business etc. thus there is a need of maximum support from Islamabad Bar Association in advocacy campaigns to address the key issues of trade and industry and to create an enabling environment for the growth of business activities, he maintained.
He highlighted the problem of F-8 Markaz and said that Islamabad Bar should join hands with ICCI to launch a combined campaign for making this area neat and clean to promote a healthy environment in this important sector of the federal capital.
Yassar Sakhi Butt said that Islamabad District Bar Association should extend its support for early execution of Balanced Rent Control Act from parliament into a law.
Syed Javaid Akbar Shah President, District Bar Association Islamabad assured full support of lawyer’s community for solving the problems of businessmen and traders of Federal Capital. He said that his team would play an effective role in resolving the issues of judicial fraternity and provide justice to the public as they have reposed great confidence in the judiciary.
