Income Tax department establishes 14 Facilitation Centers in collaboration with Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry
President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mian Shaukat Masud stated that ICCI always extended its full support to traders and industrialists for greater facilitation of businesses and this time ICCI in collaboration with Income Tax department shall assist its members for e-filling of Income Tax returns at ICCI and will also establish “Facilitation Centers” at 14 places in different Markazes. He appealed to the Government for extending the last date for filing income tax returns and stressed to defer e-filing as taxpayers are not fully conversant with the procedure of filing e-returns.
Mian Shaukat Masud said that FBR has fixed September 30th for filing of income tax returns, whereas AOP businesses and which have more than 5 lac income, have to e-file income tax returns. He said that this time e-filling would be difficult for the traders, therefore, ICCI in collaboration with income tax department has made arrangement of establishing “Facilitation Centers” to provide assistance to businessmen in e-filling of returns. He said that at these centers income tax department representatives will be present that would not only receive returns but also provide information in filling returns. President further said that at these Centers ICCI has made arrangement of providing return forms free of cost and appealed to the businessmen of the Federal Capital to file maximum returns and get full advantage of these Facilitation Centers. He also thanked Mr.Waqar Ahmed, Commissioner Income Tax for establishing Facilitation Centers that will help the business community a great deal.
President further stated that every businessman should pay the due tax in the best interest of the nation and economic growth of Pakisstan. He emphasized for the promotion of tax culture and assured that ICCI would provide all possible assistance to the tax payers in case they find problems in filing returns.
