Mr. Bakhtawari said that Chakwal is very rich in mineral resources including limestone, coal, rock salt, gypsum & marble etc. which have good commercial potential. He said that availability of interchange at Nila Dullah would pave the way for exploitation of these resources.
He was of the view that establishment of interchange at Nila Dullah will bring numerous benefits to the people of surrounding areas and give boost to economic activities.
ICCI President said that the economy of Pakistan was facing multiple challenges including energy crisis, hefty decline in investment, deindustrialization, low tax revenue, law & order problems and outflow of capital. He stressed that government should address these problems on priority for creating better business environment in the country.
Sahibzada Abdul Quddus, President, Chakwal Chamber of Commerce & Industry speaking on the occasion said that tough Chakwal Chamber has recently started its journey; however, it is playing an important role in promoting the interests of Chakwal traders and industrialists.
He said that in the prevailing difficult circumstances, government should provide easy credit facility to industrialists so that they could be able to modernize and upgrade industrial machinery and technology and accelerate the pace of industrialization.
Sahibzada Abdul Quddus said that facilitating the growth of private enterprises would create multiple benefits for the economy as it will improve productivity, trade, exports, employment and revenue generation for the country.
ICCI former Presidents Munawar Mughal, Zubair Ahmed Malik and Member FPCCI Managing Committee from Chakwal Qazi Akbar also spoke on the occasion.
