Muhammad Shakeel Munir, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) said that the youth was the future of Pakistan and the government should take policy measures to create an ecosystem for promoting entrepreneurship in youth that would help the country to achieve sustainable economic growth. He said this after inaugurating a week long Entrepreneurship Week as Chief Guest at Metropolitan International United College (MIUC) - Roots International Schools and Colleges (RISC), Islamabad along with Aman Sheikh Chief Executive Officer Davis Pharma.
Muhammad Shakeel Munir applauded the RISC for organizing such good initiatives which would promote entrepreneurship skills in youth. He encouraged students to work on developing practical skills that will help them to build their entrepreneurial career. He also urged the government to take more steps like Kamyab jawan to provide more opportunities of growth and development to the youth. He gave many useful tips to the students for becoming successful entrepreneurs.
Aman Shaikh CEO Davis Pharma, in his brief address appreciated the efforts of RISC in building the entrepreneurship culture in youth. He emphasized that such events should be organized on a regular basis so that students and entrepreneurs can interact with each other frequently.
Walid Mushtaq, CEO RISC in his brief talk thanked the guests for taking out time of their hectic schedules to attend the event. He said that their presence would not only motivate the students but would also encourage them to take steps which would be beneficial in their educational and societal growth.
After the formal inauguration, guests were taken on a tour of the cultural fest, where they were shown several student-designed projects. Students arranged the cultural fest with representation of all the provinces of Pakistan. The students briefed the chief guest about their projects and received great appreciation and encouragement for their work.
RISC organizes entrepreneurship week every year with the aim to promote and polish the entrepreneurship potential of its students. RISC is a proud partner of Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), an organization that works to stimulate and encourage the entrepreneurship culture. RISC has been organizing several forums and events to promote and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit of students. RISC’s graduates are enterprising thinkers and versatile individuals.
The “RISC- MIUC- MEW 2021” is a weeklong entrepreneurship activity. On the final day of the NEW-2021, the students will submit their business proposals which they will be preparing for the whole week in consultation with the successful entrepreneurs. Leading businessmen and influential speakers will be giving their lectures and panel discussion to educate the students on the theme of entrepreneurship throughout the week. These business plans will be evaluated by the jury which will consist of leading entrepreneurs of Pakistan at the closing ceremony.
