ICCI congratulates UBG on winning FPCCI elections

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has congratulated S.M.Munir Patron-in-Chief, Iftikhar Ali Malik Chairman, Mian Muhammad Adrees newly elected President FPCCI and the rest of the leadership of United Business Group on winning the elections of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry through a democratic process for the year 2015. 
 
Muzammil Hussain Sabri, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that UBG has introduced a merit based election system and true democratic culture in the business politics and hoped that it would bring forward highly competent business professionals to lead FPCCI. He also felicitated Mian Muhammad Adrees on being elected with majority vote as the President of FPCCI and appreciated the wisdom of UBG leadership for nominating a distinguished business leader for this esteemed position.
 
He was optimistic that under the leadership of Mian Muhammad Adrees, FPCCI would become a stronger apex trade body to better serve Pakistan’s business and economic interests. He assured that ICCI would extend its full cooperation to new leadership of FPCCI and UBG in efforts aimed at resolving the issues of trade and industry and promoting the interests of private sector.
 
Abdul Rauf, Chairman ICCI Founder Group said the victory of UBG was the victory of democratic forces in the business community. He also lauded the vision of S.M.Munir and Iftikhar Ali Malik for forming United Business Group that has provided a new choice to the business community of the country to use power of its vote in a democratic manner for electing business leaders of the apex trade body of the country and ended the era of monopoly over the elections of FPCCI. 
 
He also congratulated Mian Muhammad Adrees on being elected as the President of FPCCI and said that victory of UBG reflected the confidence of business representatives in the wise leadership of S.M.Munir and Iftikhar Ali Malik who have rendered invaluable services for the entrepreneurs of the country. He said business community at this occasion was badly missing Munawar Mughal (Late) Vice President FPCCI and former President ICCI who played key role in the formation of UBG. However, he said the victory of UBG in FPCCI elections would at least give some solace to his soul
