ICCI launches Clean and Green Drive to promote healthy environment

The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) has launched a “Clean and Green Drive” to promote the cause of Prime Minister’s Clean and Green Pakistan. For this purpose, the Sports Committee of ICCI organized a walk, plantation and garbage collective drive at Trail No.5 of Margalla Road in which Ahmed Hassan Moughal President, Rafat Farid Senior Vice President, Iftikhar Anwar Sethi Vice President ICCI and a large number of business community as well as their children participated. During the walk, the participants collected garbage and litter to clean the area and planted many trees as well.
 
Speaking at the occasion, Ahmed Hassan Moughal, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had launched a Clean and Green Pakistan campaign that has sensitized the nation about the importance of making Pakistan a clean and green country for its future generations. He said by launching Clean and Green Drive, ICCI has taken a positive initiative to take forward PM’s mission. He said that our cities were turning into dumps of garbage and filth, which should be a cause of concerns for the entire nation. 
 
ICCI President urged that every citizen of the country should play role in making cities and the country clean and green as the future of our generations was dependent on a healthy environment. He stressed that citizens of Islamabad including business community should take active part in the drive to make the capital city a role model in terms of cleanliness and greenery.  He said for this purpose, maximum trees should be planted and markets, industrial areas, roads and residential areas should be kept neat and clean to promote healthy environment. 
 
Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry Chairman ICCI Sports Committee, Muhammad Ejaz Abbasi Vice President FPCCI, Mian Akram Farid former President ICCI, Tahir Ayub, Ashfaq Chatha, Mian Arif, Faheem Khan, Muhammad Hussian, Syed Adil Anis, Abbasi Hashmi, Khalid Chaudhry, Zareef Khan, M. Arshad Janjua, Muhammad Ali Mirza, Shabbir Khan, Ms. Nasira Ali and others were present at the occasion and took keen interest in the Clean and Green Drive.
