ICCI sets up Corona Relief Camp for needy people

The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) has setup a Corona Relief Camp to provide support to the needy people who have been badly hit by the coronavirus issue. Muhammad Aslam Khokhar, Executive Member of ICCI (Cell No.0300-5110077) has been appointed as focal person of ICCI Relief Camp.

Muhammad Ahmed Waheed, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry said that many people including daily wagers have been badly hit by the coronavirus as they have lost their daily earnings due to closure of shops and industries. He said that this was the time that well off business people should come forward and extend helping hand to the needy people of society in cooperation with ICCI. He said this while addressing a meeting of business community at ICCI.

Muhammad Ahmed Waheed said that business community should donate their donations to ICCI Bank Account No.0010005998750049 in ABL, G-8/1 Branch, Islamabad with Branch Code-0624 so that with their cooperation, ICCI Relief Camp could provide daily used food items to the poor and unemployed people. He said that Muhammad Aslam Khokhar Executive Member ICCI Mobile No.0300-5110077 has been focal person for Corona Relief Camp.

He appealed to the business people to donate their maximum contributions to the above mentioned bank account of ICCI including contributions of Zakat and Sadaqaat so that with their support, deserving and needy people of society could be provided food items. He said they could also donate food items to ICCI Relief Camp for distributing them to well-deserving people.

Tahir Abbasi Senior Vice President and Saif ur Rehman Khan Vice President ICCI said that after thorough investigation, only deserving people would be provided food items in cooperation with the donations of business community. They said that businesses and factories were closed, but business community was standing with the government to provide support to weak segments of society in this crisis situation. They appealed that ICCI members should donate maximum amount of zakat and sadqaat to ICCI account and become partner in this noble cause for serving the cause of needy people.
