IFMA demands resolution of fresh milk suppliers’ issues

A delegation of Islamabad Fresh Milk Association (IFMA) led by its President Muzaffar Hashmi visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry and discussed key issues of its sector with Muhammad Ahmed Waheed President, Tahir Abbasi Senior Vice President and Saif ur Rahman Khan Vice President ICCI. Shahid Gondal Secretary General, Mian Abdul Jabbar Chairman, Hafiz Abdullah Finance Secretary and Irfan Ali Deputy Secretary General of IFMA were in the delegation. Addressing the delegation, Muhammad Ahmed Waheed, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry said that IFMA should work for certification of its members and play role to ensure pure supply of milk to the customers. He said that those who were supplying pure milk to the people should be given certificates while the wrongdoers should be discouraged. He assured that ICCI would cooperate with their IFMA in its endeavors aimed at resolving key issues of its members. Tahir Abbasi Senior Vice President and Saif ur Rahman Khan Vice President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry said that the supply of milk has a direct effect on the health of people and stressed that fresh milk suppliers should take extra care to supply healthy milk while those who mix water in fresh milk should not be protected at all. Speaking at the occasion, Muzaffar Hashmi President and Shahid Gondal Secretary General, Islamabad Fresh Milk Association said that ICCI was playing key role in resolving the issues of markets and associations. They emphasized that ICCI should support IFMA in resolving issues related to plastic bags substitutes and determination of milk prices. Khalid Chaudhry former Senior Vice President, Ashfaq Chatha former Vice President ICCI, Ch. Nadeem ud Din, Mian Abdul Jabbar, Hafiz Abdullah, Irfan Ali and others also spoke at the occasion and stressed upon the need of resolving issues of fresh milk suppliers.
