While addressing the delegates, Mr.Anil Joshi urged Pakistan and India governments to further expedite normalization of trade relations at a much faster speed and said that trade in Punjabs on both sides of the border could survive and flourish only when there is free flow of trade across the border to either side.
 

He stressed the need for joint ventures between the two countries as both the sides have a lot to offer to each other in a large number of sectors. He said the businessmen of the two sides should chalk out plans for mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, business and supply arrangements.
 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Zafar Bakhtawari said that the non-tariff barriers being faced by Pakistani exporters are creating enormous problems. He stressed the need for special relaxation in order to increase the frequency of trade talks and agreements. He invited Punjab Industry and Commerce Minister to visit Pakistan which would ultimately improve bilateral relation between the both countries. 
 

ICCI President said both the countries have geographical proximity and regional accumulation, therefore, Indian businessmen should not look at Pakistani counterparts as competitors but as collaborators. He said that both the countries should identify areas of economic cooperation. Joint ventures, outsourcing and sharing of technology which would further pave the way for trade expansion.
 

Mr.Such Deva, Vice Chairman of Punjab Haryana Delhi (PHD) Chamber Of Commerce lauded the active and vibrant role of ICCI for promotion of trade relations by providing a platform for business community where they could meet and exchange their views with their respective counterparts. He said that both the Chambers of Commerce and Industry should collaborate and facilitate exchange of information on products, respective buyers, sellers and service providers in their respective countries.
