Businessmen call for Religious Harmony for Economic Stability of the Country

A Christmas cake cutting ceremony was held at Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) under the chair of Khalid Chaudhry, Senior Vice President, ICCI. Munawar Mughal, newly elected Vice President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry was the chief guest. Father Rahmat Michael Hakam, Ch. Rasheed Farzand, Pastor Sohail Samsen, Khalid Bhatti, Karamat Masih, ICCI Minority Affairs Committee Chairman Ch. Ashraf Farzand, Basharat Ghouri, Ch. Qaum Raza, Ch. Junaid Ashraf, Waqas Bhatti, Shams Gull and Dani Iqbal also participated in the ceremony.
 
Addressing the ceremony, Munawar Mughal, newly elected Vice President FPCCI said that minorities enjoy all rights in Pakistan and are living like a fraternity in the country. However, some elements are trying to create disharmony in different communities. He stressed for promoting religious harmony and maintaining a relationship of unity in all sects for the economic stability of the country. He said a minority wing has been established in ICCI under the chair of Ch. Ashraf Farzand to take care of minorities’ issues. 
 
Congratulating the Christian community for Christmas, Khalid Chaudhry, Senior Vice President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry said that ICCI would celebrate Christmas ceremony every year. Zafar Bakhtawari, former President ICCI and ICCI Minority Affairs Committee Chairman Ch. Ashraf Farzand also addressed the ceremony and stressed for promoting religious harmony, which is so vital to promote business & economic activities and to put Pakistan on the path of progress & prosperity.
