Crime rate decreases due to door to door survey- Binyamin / Business Community cooperates with Islamabad Police in Community Policing-Mahfooz Elahi

Inspector General of Islamabad Police, Binyamin, President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) and other business leaders have participated in a dinner arranged by Chairman, Police Liaison Sub-Committee, Mr. Saif-ur-Rehman Khan. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mahfooz Elahi, President ICCI congratulated Inspector General of Islamabad Police, Binyamin on his appointment. He was of the view that every police official should take initiative for participation in community policing which would enable a common man to get better access to police department. He said that business community of Federal Capital would continue their cooperation with Islamabad Police to maintain peace in the city.

Inspector General of Islamabad Police, Binyamin, said that reduction in crimes and terrorist activities could not be possible without the participation of business community as the concept of community policing was based on the maximum contribution from the community.

He said that for ensuring tight security, police force has been placed on all the barriers throughout the night time as well.

IGP, Islamabad said that a door to door survey have been conducted by Islamabad Police in order to acquire the bio data of all citizens. Crime rate has been decreasing as result of this survey, he added.

He requested for greater cooperation from the business community and other citizens to make the security system more efficient.
