ICCI appreciates the role of S.M. Munir for trade promotion

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has appreciated the important contribution of S.M.Munir, renowned business leader of the country and Chief Executive, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan for promoting Pakistan’s trade and exports by transforming TDAP into a vibrant trade promotion body. 
 
Muzammil Hussain Sabri, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry lauded the vision of S.M.Munir for forming United Business Group (UBG) and introducing a democratic culture in the business politics. He said the landslide victory of UBG in the recent elections of FPCCI reflected the trust and confidence of the business community of the country in the visionary leadership of UBG’s Patron-in-Chief S.M. Munir who played a key role in ending the 13 years long monopoly and dictatorial rule over the affairs of apex trade body of the country. 
 
He said some elements were trying to create some misunderstandings about S.M. Munir which was highly condemnable and termed him an asset not only for the business community, but for the whole nation. He said in recognition of useful services of S.M.Munir for the country, President of Pakistan had conferred on him Sitara-I-Isaar and Sitara-I-Imtiaz which proved his worth for the country.
 
Abdul Rauf Alam, Chairman ICCI Founder Group said UBG under the dynamic leadership of S.M.Munir has emerged as an important think tank to advise the government on key economic policies. He stressed it was high time that instead of falling victim to disunity and rift, business community of the country should get united and extend full support to the UBG and FPCCI in order to strengthen their hands for economic revival of the country.  
 
He also lauded the decision of S.M.Munir for nominating Mian Muhammad Adrees as a presidential candidate for FPCCI as he was a well-qualified business professional and the best choice for this esteemed position. He hoped that under the leadership of Mian Adrees, FPCCI would be transformed into a stronger institution to resolve the issues of trade and industry and promote the interests of business community of the country.
 
Muhammad Shakeel Munir Senior Vice President and Muhammad Ashfaq Chatha Vice President ICCI also expressed full confidence in the leadership of UBG and FPCCI and assured that ICCI would extend all possible cooperation and support to these business bodies in their efforts aimed at promoting Pakistan’s business and economic interests.
