Muhammad Shakeel Munir, Acting President, Muhammad Ashfaq Hussain Chatha Vice President, Executive Members of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry and local business community in a meeting at ICCI have expressed heartfelt condolence with the bereaved families of Peshawar carnage and prayed that may Allah the Almighty keep the departed souls in peace.
Addressing the meeting, Muhammad Shakeel Munir, Acting President ICCI strongly condemned the brutal attack on Army Public School at Warsak Road, Peshawar in which around 141 people including 132 school children were killed and termed it a barbaric act against the humanity. He said the whole nation including business community of the country was deeply shocked and grieved over this national tragedy and fully stands with the bereaved families in this critical hour.
He said the ghastly act of killing innocent children and teachers indicated that the terrorists were not only the enemies of Pakistan, they were the enemies of humanity. He said terrorists could not enfeeble the resolve of the government, armed forces and the nation to rid the country of the menace of terrorism as Pakistan could never make sound economic development without ending terrorism and establishing peace in the country.
He said the business community of the country have once again expressed full support to the armed forces and the security agencies to eliminate terrorists from the country and they would continue to support them till the time the country was purged of this scourge.
He also appreciated the positive approach of political leaders for getting united on this national issue as it was the need of the hour that all should work in unison for making Pakistan terrorism-free country. He said a high level delegation of ICCI would soon visit Peshawar to express solidarity and condole with the bereaved families.
