ICCI Post-Budget Conference at Serena Hotel today

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry is hosting today (Saturday 14th June 2014) a Post-Budget Conference at Serena Hotel (Shamadan Hall), Islamabad to discuss and analyze the important features of the Federal Budget 2014-15 and how they may impact the business ecosystem in the country. 
 
Presidents of Chambers of Commerce & Industry from across Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, Faisalabad, KPK and Quetta will participate in the Conference. Moreover, dignitaries, economists, professionals and high government officials will also grace the occasion. 
The Conference will start at 10:00 am and will conclude with press conference at 5:00 pm. Open discussions on budget and questions/answers sessions will also be held. 
 
In his statement, Shaban Khalid, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry said that significance of national budgets in the economic development has assumed additional importance as budget is the main instrument through which governments collect resources from the economy and allocate the same to various sectors to achieve the optimum results. He said the budget also gives direction to the business community towards a more progressive environment of doing business. 
 
He said ICCI Post-Budget Conference will provide a good opportunity to economists, experts and business professionals to discuss the key features of budget 2014-15 and come up with proposals that would help and facilitate the government in rationale and effective implementation of Finance Bill 2014-15. 
 
He said the exercise would help businessmen from across the country to develop consensus and send a unanimous message to the government for any further improvements in the budget. The event would also mark the conclusion of a series of All Presidents Pre-Budget Conferences held at Karachi and Faisalabad.
